hanukkah fourth NIGHT

Tonight is it’s just me and the doggies.

I have chosen my childhood Menorah.  It reminded me of the year when my brother and I were fighting over who was going to get to light the candles. I’m not sure who won, but, I remember my hair caught on fire.  It was put out quickly and no harm was done.  Just a bunch of smelly smoke!

Anyone else have something like that happen?

  1. Oh, how I love those family tales from childhood!

P.S. I’ve never seen an ad on your blog. I’ll let you know when I do.

      1. Ooohh. Darn ads. I do see them a lot more than I used to, highly irritating, but I have to admit that I don’t pay much attention to them anymore. It truly is an invasion of privacy. Bloggers take so much time to layout their blogs to achieve a certain look, and WordPress plunks down a tacky ad right in the middle of a post. Now on the other hand, WP doesn’t charge for their blogging service so I guess it’s a wash. I still don’t like it!!

  2. Ah, treasured childhood memories. Reminds me of one of mine. My brother and I fought over who would get to dip the Halloween candy apples in the hot syrup first. I won and he was so excited for his turn, he dipped his finger in the syrup too, resulting in skin grafts and a trip to the ER. I felt pretty guilty.
Happy Hannukah and watch the hair! 🙂
